Carpentry & Joinery
Instructional videos for every practical task in the City & Guilds 6706-13 Level 1 Carpentry & Joinery course, demonstrated by Paul, an LCGI Master Carpenter and college lecturer.
Paul started with a carpentry apprenticeship at Taylor Woodrow in 1981. His career spans shop fitting, domestic joinery, building bespoke pieces for private clients, work on large-scale construction projects, and site management, where he gained the kind of insight that only comes from practical, real-world experience. More than 12 years ago he moved into teaching, where he realised high-quality video would engage a wider range of students and support teachers more effectively than traditional resources. Bringing in a professional film crew, he used his workshop to bring the course to life on screen.
